Exploring and Developing Items Measuring Teachers’ Followership Modalities: An Exploratory Factor Analysis Procedure

The concept of followership has received considerable attention over the past three decades. Good followers play crucial role in determining success an organization. However, literature revealed that there is limited understanding dimensions made up modalities, especially school context. purpose study was therefore to contribute existing by performing a thorough validation Teachers' Followership Modalities through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) procedure. This used cross-sectional survey approach develop precise measurements for Teachers’ construct. A structured questionnaire Google Form format collect data. included 108 randomly selected public secondary teachers from districts Sarawak, namely Kuching, Padawan, and Samarahan. all 20 items adapted modified Kelley's (1992) Questionnaire met EFA procedure's factor loading cut-off point .60 using IBM-SPSS software version 25.0. Therefore, were kept deemed appropriate measuring procedure disclosed 5 components as compared Kelley’s two-dimensional model. findings this offered validated reliable measure among Malaysia. Thus, Malaysian Ministry Education which seeks gain with good modalities will benefit research.
